1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using this website or engaging with the services of The Wedding Shop, customers agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not accept these terms, please refrain from using the site or making purchases.

2. Agreement Jurisdiction

This agreement is deemed to be entered into at the registered office in Nawala. The date of agreement begins from the time the customer initiates a service inquiry.

3. Modification of Terms

The Wedding Shop reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Any changes will take effect immediately upon being posted on the website.

4. Eligibility to Use

Use of this website is restricted to individuals 18 years or older. Individuals under 18 are not permitted to use the site, and the company accepts no liability for unauthorized usage by minors.

5. Product Images & Colour Variations

Product images displayed on the site represent the product as accurately as possible. However:

  • Colour and brightness may vary depending on your screen settings.

  • Printed colours may vary due to print process differences.

  • Slight deviations are expected, especially for handmade or natural items.

  • The Wedding Shop cannot guarantee 100% colour consistency across all items.

6. Proofing and Approval

  • Customers are responsible for verifying spelling, grammar, and other content in proofs.

  • Orders are processed only after receiving written approval via email.

  • One round of revisions is provided free; further changes may incur additional charges.

  • Changes made after final approval and production confirmation may result in extra costs.

7. Ribbons, Lace, Flowers & Custom Materials

Exact matches for ribbons, lace, and floral items are not guaranteed. Closest available alternatives will be used, especially for custom colours/designs.

8. Handmade & Natural Items

As items are handcrafted using natural materials (e.g., cane, palm leaves), variations in size, thickness, colour, and texture are to be expected. Each product is unique.

9. Pricing

  • All prices are subject to change without notice.

  • If an item is listed at an incorrect price, The Wedding Shop reserves the right to correct it and offer the customer the option to purchase at the corrected price.

10. Order Non-Acceptance

Orders may be declined under the following conditions:

  • Item is out of stock.

  • Payment cannot be processed.

  • Suppliers are unable to fulfil the order.

  • Product is unavailable at the listed price.

If an order is not accepted, customers will be notified and refunded within 7 working days.

11. Order Processing Time

  • Processing times are stated in the product description and may vary by location.

  • Manufacturing/printing times are estimates based on orders of 200 units and are in business days only.

  • For confirmed delivery dates, customers must coordinate with the sales team.

12. Shipping & Delivery

  • Shipping costs are calculated based on weight and destination.

  • Additional shipping charges may apply based on order size or location. Customers will be notified in advance.

  • Delivery is made via courier to the provided address at checkout.

  • Customers are responsible for any applicable customs duties or import taxes.

13. Damaged Goods

Inspect goods upon delivery. If items are damaged:

  1. Refuse delivery and contact sales@theweddingshop.lk immediately.

  2. Accept delivery but document the damage clearly on the delivery note and inform the company as soon as possible.

14. Shipping Address Errors

Customers must provide accurate shipping information. Any errors may result in delayed delivery or additional charges. Address changes can only be made before processing begins.

15. Delays

If there is a supplier delay, customers will be notified via email. The Wedding Shop is not responsible for delays due to:

  • Lack of customer response to emails.

  • External courier issues.

Refunds in such cases will follow the return policy.

16. International Shipping

  • International orders are shipped via EMS or another courier arranged by the customer.

  • The Wedding Shop is not responsible for delays, duties, or additional international fees.

17. Returns Policy

Returns are only accepted for products explicitly marked as returnable. The following items are non-returnable:

  • Handmade items

  • Custom-made products

  • Pre-ordered items

18. Cancellations

Cancellations must be made within 6 hours of final payment via email to sales@theweddingshop.lk with the order number. Some products cannot be cancelled:

  • Flowers

  • Greeting cards

  • Gift items under “Gift Shop”

  • Orders already in processing

A cancellation fee will apply and be communicated via email.

19. Order Processing & Payment

Orders are processed only after full payment has been received. Confirmation will be sent via email.

20. Communication

All official communication will be conducted via the registered email address. The company is not liable for delays caused by customer inattention to email communications.

21. Warranty

Products covered under warranty will be noted in their descriptions, and a warranty card will be provided upon delivery.

22. Cookies

The website uses cookies to enhance functionality and maintain order details. By using the site, you agree to the use of cookies.

23. Copyright & Intellectual Property

All content on this site is the property of The Wedding Shop. Unauthorized copying or use of any material is prohibited and subject to legal action under the Intellectual Property Act.
