Do you have a showroom I can visit?

Our online shop is our showroom! All of our current designs and items are displayed in our website. If you would like to see the quality of our invitations or cake boxes, please order a sample.

I am a vendor. Can I sell my products with you?

We are constantly looking for unique products to add to our selection. Vendors who are interested in submitting product samples for consideration can email product images and pricing information to sales@theweddingshop.lk

What happens after I order?

After you place an order, you will receive an order confirmation via email. Delivery time for each product are displayed in the product description.
We will courier the items you ordered within that period. Please read our "Terms and Conditions" for more details.

Wedding stationary:
Within few hours one of our designers will contact you.  You need to provide inner text or thank you message wording to the designer (If you purchase Invitations or cake boxes with thank you messages).
After that within 1 working day, you will receive 4 electronic proofs which have been designed by one of our professional graphic designers. If you need extra layouts, you may need to pay designing fees.
You will then need to select one proof. We will make necessary modifications until you are 100% happy with your design layout. Once you have approved your text layout, your product will be sent to the printers. If you didn't request a sample before placing the final order, You can request a sample. However, you must let us know that you need a sample before bulk production and need to pay the delivery charges for the sample.
Please Note: Only one sample will be sent to you free of charge.
Once your order is ready, you will receive a delivery notification via email.

Do you accept phone or fax orders?

Sorry, we don't. We're an online store and all purchases are processed electronically. It's actually better for your records as you're able to keep track of your purchases.

Do products arrive assembled?

All our products arrive assembled.  Please read the product description provided on the product page for details.

How long will my wedding stationary order take?

All these products are handmade. It takes us time to personalize and finish the product. Printing/ manufacturing time vary between products and it is stated on the description of each product.

Do these invitations come with envelopes?

Paper and card board invitations come with matching envelopes (where applicable)

Is there a minimum order quantity?

Yes there is a minimum order quantity for some products and it is stated on the product page.

Can I add my photo or image to my invitations or cake boxes?

Yes, we can add a high-resolution photo or image to card board/paper invitations and cake boxes. You need to email us a High resolution PNG or JPEG image.   We can modify our existing designs with your own photographs or create a personalize invitation for you.

Can I order a sample before placing the final order?

Yes you may request samples (Only selected products) Please see the sample ordering page for details.

When ordering a sample card, what will I actually receive?

A sample card sent in the mail is intended to show you the quality of your invitation or cake box. Your invitation wording and thank you messages will be in the sample. However, Sample invitations will be digitally printed. Therefore foiling and embossing effects will not be available on the sample invitation or cake box ( If there are any embossing or foiling in the selected product).

I have found a card that I like but I would like it in a different colour scheme. Is this possible?

Yes, we can customise most invitation designs to another colour as long as the colour card stocks are available. Please email your preference before placing an order, then we can check and let you know the availability of the colour.

Do I need to provide the wording for the invitation?

Invitation wording is very personal and may vary in different circumstance. Therefore, you need to provide the wording for the invitations in you preferred language.

Will my invitation’s colours look exactly like the colours on my computer screen?

Every computer monitor displays colours differently. So, there can be a slight difference in colours. The best way to figure out the colour of the card is to read the online description of the card as well as to order a physical sample before you place your order.

Are your designs professionally printed?

Yes. All of our designs are printed on a commercial digital press. They are not produced on a home printer or colour photocopier. This is why it takes a little longer to print your order.

Monogram designing?

Email your requirements to us. After you place your order we'll send you 4 monogram designs for free.

I just approve my order and I found a mistake. What should I do?

If you find a mistake, email us immediately. We will try to notify the printers before their work is completed. You will be responsible, however, if it cannot be stopped in time. After 12 hours we cannot do any changes. So, please check your text layout and design carefully before you submit it.

Can I order extra invitations after I have received my order?

Yes, if you need more invitations, just send us an email and we'll try to sort it out. We do require a minimum of 10 pieces for each item when we do a reprint.

Can I cancel my order after I buy?

Cancellation of order should be done within 6 Hours of the final payment and should be communicated to the company via email send to sales@theweddingshop.lk from the registered email address and the order number should be mentioned clearly on the mail.
In the event of the cancellation company will retain a penalty which will be communicated to the customer by communication email. Below mention items are not allowed for cancellation

Can I use multiple inner text layouts for my invitations and multiple thank you messages for my cake boxes?

The price calculated when you place the order is only for a single text layout or a single thank you message. If you need different text layouts for your invitations please send us an email before you place the order. And also additional charges are applicable for extra text layouts.

How do I use a Coupon  code?

After you add your products click the shopping cart on the top right hand side corner of the website. If you have a Coupon  code, please enter this into the Coupon Code area and click “Apply Coupon” button. Please note that all promotion codes can not be used in conjunction with other offers.

How are my items delivered?

All Sri Lankan orders are delivered via a courier service from Colombo. Delivery times to western province cities are typically 1-2 business day, to other province it will take up to 3-4 working days.
It is advisable to get your package delivered to a work address, or where you know there will be someone to receive them. And when your ordering,  in the special instruction section enter a phone number. So the delivery person can contact the recipient if he finds any difficulties to find the address.  If there are no one to accept the items the delivery person will take the order back with them without leaving it unattended.

I wasn't there to sign for the delivery. Can it be resent?

Delivery charge covers the courier delivering to the shipping address you gave us one time only, or leaving the parcel if you requested this. Our courier charges us the same fee every time we have the parcel resent to your address, so we think it's only fair that if you didn't give us instructions to leave the parcel or you weren't at the address provided, we will need to organise a small redelivery fee which covers our costs.

What are your delivery prices and time period?

Delivery price may vary according to the weight and the location.
For delivery within Sri Lanka please allow 2-3 working days. For overseas delivery please request a quotation.

Can I come and collect my order?

The Wedding Shop is an online only retailer. We don't offer a collection service, but we do have express delivery available if you need your order fast. Please visit our shipping page for more information.

Where can I get a receipt?
You'll automatically receive an email receipt for your purchase once payment is cleared. Check your spam folder if you've not received anything from us.

Do you ship internationally?

All of our delivery charges need to be quoted for international orders. Please contact us for a quote by emailing sales@theweddingshop.lk

What is your policy on duties, taxes and brokerage fees?
For orders shipped to destinations outside of Sri Lanka, we can't be responsible for any duties, taxes and brokerage fees associated with the shipment. We also are not knowledgeable about country-specific import regulations and will not be responsible for fees/damages associated with non-compliance. We strongly encourage you to research all country-specific facts, information and regulations prior to placing an order.

Will I receive a shipment confirmation?
Once your order has been processed and is ready to ship, you will receive and email.

Do I have to sign for the delivery?
We strongly recommends you request a signature when your items are delivered; however we offer you the opportunity to have your parcel left by our courier if you are not home to receive the goods. Please note that if you request your parcel to be left, we takes no responsibility for the parcel being lost or stolen. Please write any instructions for the courier in the comments box at checkout.

What are my payment options?

We accept Visa and MasterCard on the website via a secure encrypted Seylan Bank Internet payment gateway. Bank deposits are accepted for orders over Rs.1000, but please note your order will not be processed until cleared funds are confirmed in our bank account. This can take 2-3 business days for Electronic funds transfer.

Is my email address and contact details safe with you?

We will not provide your personal information to any third parties without your approval.

Is it safe to use my credit card online with your website?

We use Seylan Bank Internet payment gateway to process the payment and also we use a standard SSL encryption to protect your sensitive data.
